Before GM Legal Recruitment, Founding Director Garry Mewett developed over 12 years' experience within Legal Recruit at a nationally recognised recruitment business, he initially focussed on the London market, before branching into the Regions, and has predominantly encompassed the South East and South West of England legal markets, whilst over time developed sound knowledge of the City and West End legal markets placing candidates on full/time/part-time and hybrid basis.

He has built and trained teams of consultants and a thriving recruitment business that provided recruitment solutions to lawyers at all levels, ranging from NQ to Partner and also assisted with the supply of support staff to High Street, Regional, National and International law firms.

After a successful career, Garry set up a bespoke recruitment business to provide a consultative and professional approach to assisting candidates with the next step in their career, offering lawyers advice on the market and the most suitable vacancies and targeted approach to an extensive book of contacts. On the other side, developed a portfolio of clients, to whom he sources the best talent which has been homed over across two decades, whilst always focused on providing a seamless experience, placing over 400 lawyers, which are often hard to fill vacancies in a professional manner.
